Damage is a LOUD project based in Melbourne, Australia formed by songwriter Frank Linehan in 2019, spreading his hardcore message of hope through Punk & Heavy Metal. Frank is a long time member of the Wild At Heart Community Arts songwriting community and has performed in notable venues such as MEMO Hall and Leadbeater Hotel as well as festivals such as UNMUTED Festival, Summer Sounds Festival and Resonate Festival.

Frank Linehan’s musical journey began at a young age, accompanying his father to live performances at pubs and clubs as a child, and soon following suit picking up the guitar in his late teens and forming a garage covers band with his brother and friends. Frank ceased his musical pursuits in 1993 due to the associations rock n roll can tend to form with drugs and alcohol.

25 years later, Frank received an invitation from a friend to attend a blues club in Brunswick, and watching the performers inspired him to pick up the guitar again, and soon after he joined the Wild At Heart songwriting community. Frank quickly became a prolific songwriter - writing and releasing his debut album Drunken Fight in 2020 with no prior songwriting experience. Frank now harnesses music as a release in the place of drugs and alcohol.

The upcoming second Damage album IT AIN’T LOUD ENOUGH is a riff-laden, heavy hitting collection of 10 tracks written by Linehan, upping the volume a notch from debut album Drunken Fight. The album was recorded between Audrey Studios with producer Craig Pilkington and WAH Studio with producer Saint Ergo. Tracks such as Higher Power share a personal story and experience about having a spiritual awakening in sobriety abstinence from alcohol and gaining freedom from compulsion, while songs such as Heads Will Roll, Quiet Riot, and The Darkness commentate on historical events, protest, and modern day video games.

IT AIN’T LOUD ENOUGH is due Friday, March 10 2022 through Wild At Heart Records.
